How do I write a blog post?

Not sure how to write a blog post? Here’s a step by step guide for you. 

Step 1. If you haven't already, sign in with your username and password. Don't have one? Just fill out the simple registration form!

When you click the Sign In button, a dialog box should pop up. Fill out the fields and click Login.

When you've logged in, you should see a nifty little toolbar at the top of the screen. This is new and quite handy.

To add a new blog post, simply hover over the Posts button. In the drop down menu, click Add New. See how easy that is?

You should now see a window that looks something like this. This is where you write the blog post. Add a title, and write like a simple word processing editor. If you'd like to insert a picture, click the Upload Image button located by the arrow.

Once the file is uploaded, you will see a thumbnail of the image and a place to fill out the information. You can add captions if you want, select and select your size. When you're done, click Insert into Post.

You should see the image you just uploaded as it will appear in your post. If this is not right or you want to change something, just click the image and a menu should appear to make changes. When you're all done writing and inserting pictures, click Publish. That's it! Easy, huh?

How do I create an event for the calendar?

First of all, make sure you’re logged in. If you’re not, refer to the above guide. 

Once you've logged in. On the toolbar at the top you should see a link for Dashboard. Click it.

This is the Dashboard. Think of it as a sort of home page. From the menu on the left side you can write blog posts, and you should also see a link for Events Calendar. Click that to create a new event.

When you click that link you should see a page that looks something like this. It's a big calendar. Scroll down to add an event.

Here is where you fill out all the details for the event. You can add a title, description, location, day, time, etc. If you click the small calendar icon next to the date input, a small date picker will appear. Simply click the day and it will automatically fill the date in.

That's it! Once everything is filled out, click Add Event. Your event will be added to the calendar. You can double check just to make sure, and it will also show up in the small calendar on the main blog page.
